Why this is not the same as file recovery
Pulling a database file off a damaged disk is only the first step. The file can come out incomplete or internally inconsistent, so the database engine refuses it and the program will not open - and the owner concludes the data is gone when in fact it is there.
The real work starts after extraction: examining table and index structure, repairing logical corruption, rebuilding the transaction log where necessary, then installing the program on healthy hardware and attaching the recovered database.
Before handover we test. We open the chart of accounts, check customer and supplier balances, print a sample of invoices and stock movements, so what you receive is a working system whose numbers you can trust, not a folder of files.

Frequently asked questions
The program says the database is corrupt. Is there a way back?
In most cases yes. We take a safe copy of the file first, examine its structure, repair the logical corruption, then reattach the program and test it before handover.
Do you recover the program itself or only the data?
Both. The aim is a system that works as it did, so we recover the program files and the database together and reinstate them on healthy hardware.
We have no backup at all. Is that hopeless?
No. The work starts from the storage media itself. A backup makes it faster and easier, but its absence is not the end of the road.
We have a backup but it will not restore. What now?
Corrupt or incomplete backup files can often be examined and their content extracted, sometimes table by table.
Can a missing financial year be recovered?
If the data is still inside the database and was hidden or detached, recovery is straightforward. If it was deleted, it depends on whether anything has been written over it since.
Do our books stay confidential?
Yes. Access is limited to the responsible engineer, a confidentiality undertaking can be signed when the job is received, and our working copies are erased after handover.
